Food is sometimes really good, sometimes ok, and sometimes below par... As there is no consistency, and the pub is a bit tired and feels a bit for "locals", I've had to mark mid range. Sorry.

Good beer. Good atmosphere. Very slow food service

Been there once and had cod and chips and have been suffering with food poisoning for nearly a week. Luckily my party were fine.

Clean, pleasant interior decor, quality food, prompt service. This is a historic pub situated on a former air base, and was opened by legend of aviation, Douglas Bader himself in the 1970s.

Only popped in for a coffee. Staff very friendly. Pub clean. Decent pub grub on menu but not tried.
